Transforming a KPop song like 'Golden' from KPop Demon Hunters into an epic opera version is an exhilarating creative challenge that blends diverse music styles and cultures. When I started this project, I was fascinated by how the intense energy and captivating rhythms of KPop could be reimagined through operatic vocals and theatrical expression. The process taught me a lot about arranging music to suit a completely different genre while respecting the original melody and emotional tone. Four months of preparation and rehearsal led me to Seoul, South Korea, where filming brought this vision to life. Being in Seoul allowed me to immerse myself in the heart of KPop culture, surrounded by passionate fans and artists. The city's dynamic atmosphere inspired me to push the boundaries of my performance further. Performing as an opera singer interpreting a KPop track requires not only vocal agility but also a deep emotional connection to both styles. Through this project, I gained appreciation for the versatility and global appeal of KPop music. Mixing epic music elements with the theatrical flair of opera offers a thrilling experience for audiences who enjoy innovation and cross-genre experimentation.
