Hey everyone! Lulu here, and I'm absolutely hooked on Disney Dreamlight Valley! It's quickly become one of my favorite new games. While exploring, I recently tackled a quest that had me scratching my head for a bit, but was so rewarding once I figured it out: the 'Long Lost Loves' quest, especially the 'Follow the Guiding Light' part! I know many of you might be playing too, so I wanted to share my experience and some tips to help you through. This quest is all about helping our dear friend Kristoff piece together his memories, which have been scattered across the Valley. It’s a really sweet storyline, and you’ll spend a lot of time with him, which is always a treat. The quest will then prompt you to look for clues. The 'Guiding Light' isn't always a literal shining beam across the sky, as much as I wished it was! Instead, it often refers to finding specific items or interacting with objects that glow or sparkle, indicating they are part of Kristoff’s past. For me, the first step involved finding his Lost Compass. This was hidden near his stall in the Forest of Valor, often tucked away behind a tree or a rock. Keep an eye out for any shimmering ground spots! Once you find it, you'll likely need to repair it at your crafting station, using materials like Iron Ingots and other gems you've collected. Don't worry if you don't have them all right away; that's part of the Valley's charm – encouraging you to explore and gather! After you've repaired the compass, it becomes your 'guiding light' in a sense. It will start to point you towards other forgotten memories or items. Sometimes it's a glowing picture frame, other times it might lead you to a specific area in a biome where another memory shard is hidden. I found myself running between the Forest of Valor and the Glade of Trust quite a bit during this stage. My best advice? Take your time, rotate your camera, and look for anything out of place or sparkling on the ground. The game is designed to make you explore, so don't be afraid to wander off the beaten path a little! One particular memory shard led me to the Sunlit Plateau, near the waterfall. It wasn't immediately obvious, but by slowly walking around with the repaired compass in my inventory, a golden glow eventually appeared, signaling the next clue. It truly felt like I was piecing together a puzzle, which made the quest feel incredibly immersive and satisfying. Don't get discouraged if you don't find things right away. Dreamlight Valley quests sometimes require a bit of patience and revisiting areas. Also, make sure your inventory isn't full, as you'll need space to pick up the quest items! This 'Long Lost Loves' quest is a beautiful reminder of the power of friendship and memory in the Valley. Once you gather all the pieces and help Kristoff, the reward is not just the completion of the quest, but seeing him happy again.
