จากประสบการณ์และการติดตามเหตุการณ์ทางการเมืองไทยในช่วงหลายปีที่ผ่านมา ผมเห็นว่าปัญหาของประชาธิปไตยในประเทศเราไม่ได้เป็นเพียงเรื่องของระบบการเลือกตั้งหรือการจัดตั้งรัฐบาลเท่านั้น แต่ลึกลงไปเรื่องโครงสร้างอำนาจและผลประโยชน์ซ่อนเร้นที่เกิดขึ้นภายใต้กฎหมายและรัฐธรรมนูญ เช่น มาตรา 44 ซึ่งถูกใช้เป็นเครื่องมือให้ผู้นำที่มีอำนาจเบ็ดเสร็จ สามารถกระทำสิ่งต่างๆ โดยไม่ต้องรับผิดชอบหรือถูกตรวจสอบอย่างแท้จริง สิ่งนี้สร้างปัญหาที่ส่งผลกระทบโดยตรงกับชีวิตของประชาชนทั่วไป เศรษฐกิจที่ตึงเครียด การครอบงำทรัพยากรโดยทุนใหญ่ และการลดทอนเสียงของประชาชนในกระบวนการตัดสินใจทางการเมือง เป็นการสะท้อนชัดถึง ‘ต้นไม้พิษ’ ที่แพร่กระจายพิษทำลายความสุขและความสงบในสังคม นอกจากนี้ คดีความและการตัดสิทธิ์ทางการเมืองของ ส.ส. บางกลุ่ม ซึ่งก็คือตัวแทนที่ต่อสู้เพื่อประโยชน์ของประชาชน กลับถูกมองว่าเป็นคู่ขัดแย้งทางการเมืองมากกว่าการแก้ไขปัญหาที่แท้จริง ถือเป็นสัญญาณที่ทำให้ผู้คนเริ่มสูญเสียความไว้วางใจในระบบประชาธิปไตยและสถาบันที่ควรจะทำหน้าที่คุ้มครองสิทธิและเสรีภาพของประชาชน จากมุมมองส่วนตัว การสร้างประชาธิปไตยที่มีคุณภาพในประเทศไทย ควรเริ่มจากการเปิดพื้นที่ให้ประชาชนมีส่วนร่วมในการกำหนดอนาคตการเมืองอย่างแท้จริง มีระบบตรวจสอบและถ่วงดุลอำนาจที่เข้มแข็ง รวมถึงการสนับสนุนตัวแทนประชาชนที่มีจริยธรรมและความมุ่งมั่นประโยชน์ส่วนรวมอย่างแท้จริง เพื่อให้ประชาธิปไตยไม่กลายเป็น ‘ดอกไม้พิษ’ ที่สร้างแต่ความแตกแยก แต่เป็นระบบที่ทำให้ประเทศเดินหน้าอย่างมั่นคงและยั่งยืน ดังเช่นที่บทความได้กล่าวถึง พวกเขาที่ต่อสู้ในฐานะ ส.ส. พรรคประชาชน แม้จะถูกตัดสิทธิ์จากกระบวนการทางกฎหมาย แต่พวกเขาคือวีรบุรุษและวีรสตรีของประชาธิปไตย ในฐานะประชาชน คนเราทุกคนควรตระหนักถึงความสำคัญของการเลือกผู้แทนที่มีคุณธรรม ขจัดอิทธิพลที่ไม่เหมาะสม และยืนหยัดเพื่อระบบการเมืองที่โปร่งใสและยุติธรรม เพื่อให้ประชาธิปไตยไทยได้เติบโตอย่างแท้จริงและไม่ถูกห้ำหั่นด้วย ‘ต้นไม้พิษ’ ที่ทำลายชาติบ้านเมือง
