Are they going to skyrocket in value like some rare vintage Hot Wheels? Probably not consistently. However, well-preserved, popular models from reputable brands like Pop Race can hold their value, especially if they become harder to find. Compared to other brands, Pop Race seems to carve out a nice niche. They often offer more intricate details and features than basic entry-level diecasts, without reaching the higher price points of ultra-premium brands. If you're comparing them to something like Mini GT or Tarmac Works, Pop Race often provides those opening features that those brands sometimes omit, making them stand out. Ultimately, for me, the Pop Race Shelby GT500 was absolutely worth the investment of $25. It's a fantastic display piece, fun to examine with its working parts, and captures the essence of the real muscle car. If you're on the fence about trying out a Pop Race model, especially one with opening features, I'd say go for it! You're getting a well-made, detailed model that brings a smile to your face, and that's the best kind of investment in a hobby, right?
