Pagan Tips Day 10: Helios

His golden palace in the East and his journey to the West, then sailing back overnight in a golden cup, truly paint a vivid picture of his daily duties. And yes, the myth of his son Phaethon, who tragically lost control of the chariot, is a poignant reminder of the sun's immense power. It highlights Helios's role not just as a bringer of light but also as a guardian of cosmic order. Many of you might wonder about the distinction between Helios and Apollo. It's a common point of confusion! While Apollo later took on many solar attributes, Helios was originally the personification of the Sun itself. He's also considered a guardian of oaths and sight, so reflecting on my own integrity and clarity of vision feels like a fitting way to honor him.
