Sightseeing train only once a day [etSETOra]
It was only two weeks ago that I found out about this train.
When I went to the green window, it was already full of reservations.
But the same day, when I went to another window, I was able to make a reservation 🤗
And the sea side.
If you want to take a seat, we definitely recommend the even-numbered seats on the sea side.
Initially I was thinking of going back and forth from Hiroshima to Fukuyama, but I wanted to go to Onomichi, so I changed the destination to Onomichi.
I wanted to relax for at least 4 hours in Onomichi, so I took a local train from Hiroshima station to Onomichi station.
I arrived at Onomichi Station around 9: 40, so I could spend about 5 hours leisurely in Onomichi until the return sightseeing train of Etcetera at 14: 38.
The atmosphere like running on the sea is the real pleasure of this train.

観光列車etSETOraは、瀬戸内海の絶景を間近で楽しめる人気の列車で、特に海側の偶数席はオーシャンビューが楽しめる特等席です。私も実際に乗車しましたが、海の上を走っているかのような感覚に包まれ、ゆったりとした時間を過ごせました。 また、etSETOraは1日1便のみの運行で、予約開始は利用日の１ヶ月前の午前10時からです。人気のためすぐに満席になりますが、みどりの窓口以外の別の窓口でも予約可能なことがあるので、もし予約できなかったら諦めずに複数の窓口を訪ねてみるのがおすすめです。特に海側席の偶数番号席は早めの予約が必須です。 乗車区間は主に広島駅から福山駅ですが、尾道に行きたい場合は途中の糸崎駅で普通列車に乗り換えて尾道駅へ行くことも可能です。私の場合は往路は普通列車で広島から尾道へ行き、約5時間ゆっくり観光しました。尾道の町並みや瀬戸内の風景を堪能できる絶好のプランです。帰りはetSETOraに乗って海沿いの景色を楽しみながら帰宅しました。 車内にはバーカウンターやスイーツの販売もあり、観光気分を盛り上げてくれます。乗車記念スタンプや限定シールなどの記念品ももらえ、旅の思い出作りにもぴったりです。乗車前には公式HPで最新の運行情報や予約状況を必ず確認しましょう。 このように、etSETOraはただの移動手段ではなく、瀬戸内海の自然美と地元の魅力を楽しむ特別な体験ができる観光列車です。私の体験を通して、ぜひ皆さんも早めの予約をしてこの素敵な列車旅を楽しんでみてください。
