1 month fast!
Today is my first day of my 1 month fast!
This month I will focus on cleansing my mind, body and soul! This it the heaviest I’ve weighed in my life!! Lordt I just let myself goooo😭😭! But I still love myself through and through!
Today I held out on eating because a lot of times I’m not hungry I just need to drink some water! I ate my first meal at 6pm ( a bowl of gumbo )which my friend made me and was absolutely delicious 🤤💕! Water can be boring so I spiced it up with some watermelon water! No sugar added all natural watermelon and water!☺️
It’s incredible how much a weight loss journey can impact not just our overall health, but also specific areas we might feel self-conscious about, like an 'apron belly.' Seeing those 'before and after' transformations online can be incredibly motivating, and it’s definitely a huge part of why I’m committed to my current journey, including this 1 month fast! If you're wondering what an 'apron belly' is, it’s basically when excess fat and skin around the abdomen hang down, sometimes resembling an apron. It can be a result of significant weight fluctuations, pregnancy, or just a natural accumulation of visceral fat. For many, it's not just about aesthetics; it can also cause discomfort, skin irritation, and even affect clothing choices. Trust me, I understand the struggle! When it comes to addressing an apron belly, weight loss is often the first and most effective step. While you can't spot-reduce fat from one specific area, overall fat loss will naturally reduce the size of your belly. This is where a disciplined approach to diet and lifestyle really comes into play. For me, a structured approach like a 1 month fast is about kickstarting that process and creating a new baseline. Beyond fasting, focusing on a balanced diet rich in whole foods, lean proteins, and plenty of vegetables is crucial. Cutting down on processed foods, sugary drinks, and excessive unhealthy fats can make a huge difference. Hydration, as I mentioned in my post, is also key! Water helps with satiety, metabolism, and overall bodily functions. Sometimes, what feels like hunger is just thirst. Regular exercise, combining cardio with strength training, helps build muscle and burn fat more efficiently. While crunches won't specifically remove an apron belly, strengthening your core muscles can improve posture and provide better support, making the area appear firmer. Exercises like planks, leg raises, and even yoga can be beneficial. It's important to set realistic expectations for 'before and after' results. Everyone's body is different, and the rate of change can vary. Some people might see significant improvements with weight loss alone, while others might find that loose skin remains, which could be a consideration for surgical options later on. But the most important thing is to celebrate every small victory and focus on sustainable habits. My personal journey with this 1 month fast! is about more than just numbers on a scale; it's about reclaiming my health, feeling more comfortable in my skin, and building confidence. If you're on a similar path, remember to listen to your body, consult with professionals if needed, and most importantly, practice self-compassion. The 'before and after' isn't just a physical transformation; it's a mental and emotional one too. I'm excited to see what changes this month brings and to share my honest progress with all of you!
