The healing process for these piercings typically spans 6-12 months, thus understanding how to care for them is vital for a successful experience. To ensure optimal healing, it’s recommended to maintain a strict cleaning regimen using sterile saline solutions, cleaning your piercings 1-2 times daily. Sleeping on the pierced side can add unnecessary pressure; hence, it’s advisable to sleep on the opposite side. When choosing jewelry, flat-back options can significantly lessen the chance of irritation by minimizing pressure on the piercing. It's crucial to avoid twisting or touching your piercings as unnecessary movement can impede healing. Additionally, patience is essential during this healing process. The use of titanium jewelry, known for its hypoallergenic properties, can further support the healing process while preventing infections. Many individuals experience a pain scale of around 4/10 during the initial healing phase, which is quite manageable with the right care. Following these guidelines can help you enjoy your new piercings without complications, leaving you with beautiful and healthy ears to showcase your style.

I know this sounds insane but both my rook and my daith were completely painless. Some pressure, especially with the daith but absolutely no pain whatsoever. My conch hurt a bit but was pretty much the same. The rest of my piercings ( I have 14) hurt so it was so weird.

Thank you for sharing this! I already have the daith piercing and was wondering if I could get the rook as well.
