Second stop: I-PRIMO
I-PRIMO is a premium Japanese bridal jewellery brand that was established in Tokyo, with 2 boutiques in Singapore – ION Orchard and Suntec City.
We visited the Suntec City boutique on a weekend without a reservation. The store is quite small, and since all the consultation rooms were occupied, we were seated on the high chairs outside. It wasn't the most comfortable setting for trying on rings, so I'd definitely recommend making an appointment before heading down. They also offer appointment-exclusive discounts!
I've included all our try-on photos together with the in-store prices (except for a few that I forgot to note down). One thing to note is that while their full ring catalogue is available on the website, prices aren't listed online, so you'll need to visit a boutique to find out how much each design costs.
As mentioned in part 1, we both preferred platinum over white gold since platinum doesn't lose its colour over time. That worked out well because I-PRIMO's platinum wedding bands are generally more affordable than their white gold counterparts. Besides the usual yellow, white and rose gold, they also offer a unique brown gold with a subtle warm brown hue! They also have a premium collection called Hatsusora (e.g. Mizunoaya, Shigure and Harutsuki), which is priced higher due to its intricate craftsmanship and more complex ring designs.
In terms of customisation, you can choose your ring material and add an engraving. Engravings include letters and numbers but custom drawings aren't available.

One feature that really stood out was the availability of brown gold, a less common choice that offers a warm, subtle hue different from traditional yellow or rose gold. It's a unique option for couples like us who want something distinctive yet elegant. I sampled the Chloris and Helen models in brown gold and found that the tones complement many skin types beautifully. The boutique itself, while intimate and cozy, underscored the importance of making an appointment. Without one, seating comfort and personalized attention can become an issue, especially on busy weekends. Scheduling ahead ensures access to consultation rooms and even appointment-exclusive discounts, enhancing the overall shopping experience. Additionally, the premium Hatsusora collection caught my eye with its intricate craftsmanship and sophisticated ring designs, such as the Mizunoaya and Harutsuki models priced between $3100 and $3750 in platinum. These represent a higher investment but visibly reflect artisanal detail and elegance. When choosing your wedding band, it's worth considering the engraving services I-PRIMO offers—letters and numbers can be added for a personal touch, though custom drawings aren't available. This is something I personally appreciate, as simple engravings often carry meaningful messages without complicating design. Overall, visiting I-PRIMO provided valuable insights into Japanese bridal jewelry aesthetics and quality. For couples shopping in Singapore, it's a worthy stop on the wedding band journey, especially if platinum durability and subtle color variations like brown gold are on your wishlist.
