NEWS UPDATE: One person has died and 11 people injured in an overnight shooting that occurred along North Ocean Boulevard.
A person fired a weapon and was then shot by a police officer, bystander Michael Howard told The Sun News. This occurred at about 11:50 p.m. on April 26, according to Myrtle Beach Police.
North Ocean Boulevard shut down through Sunday morning while police investigated.
