Witnesses observed a small grass fire and found the boy lying on the ground. He was immediately pulled away from the fire and emergency services were called. Despite efforts to revive him, he was pronounced dead at a local hospital shortly thereafter. Authorities confirmed that the group was using mortar-style fireworks, and the boy was reportedly holding the tube with the mortar facing his head when it ignited. This incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers associated with fireworks and the importance of handling them with extreme caution.
