Apart from the five dishes we enjoyed, the menu offers a variety of grilled skewers—like lamb, beef, and chicken gizzards—which bring an exciting smoky flavor that is hard to resist. The restaurant’s grilled live fish is particularly notable, prepared with options such as chopped chili, spicy, tomato, and Tom Yum sauces, catering to various taste preferences. If you love vibrant flavors and a bit of spice, the Sichuan-style spicy prawns and pickled cabbage fish are must-tries. For a fulfilling meal, consider pairing multiple skewers with some classic sides like stir-fried pork or the sour and spicy shredded potatoes to balance the meal. These dishes not only add diversity but also enhance the communal dining experience. The ambiance near 50 Boat Quay adds to the charm, making it a perfect dinner spot for both locals and visitors looking for affordable yet authentic Chinese food. Whether you’re a fan of seafood, tofu, or grilled meats, this place delivers on quality and taste without breaking your budget. Don’t miss out on the grilled Taiwanese sausage and the mapo tofu either—they’re as delightful as they sound!

Authentic Chongqing Wontons at Outram Park
