In the snow
Beneath the heavy breath of trees,
Where snow lies still in frozen seas,
I stand alone, a fragile spark,
Amid the forest vast and stark.
Each pine a sentinel of time,
Their towering forms a measured rhyme,
That speaks of distance, scale, and space,
And makes me small in this white embrace.
The cold is sharp, yet strangely kind,
A mirror held against my mind,
Reflecting truths I fear to see,
The boundless depth inside of me.
Isolation wraps me tight,
A quiet cloak of pale twilight,
Yet in the frost, I feel a glow,
A part of something vast I know.
Here, where silence whispers loud,
Where I am lost but also found,
I face the truth, the ache, the call,
That in this scale, I am still all.
