As a Sister in Christ, I have found myself straying away from secular music. As I become more spiritually aware, the more I feel the importance of protecting my ear gates with things that are of the Lord. I got tired of listening to music that consisted of sex, money, drugs, idolization, and heartbreak. The transition was challenging because I loved the smoothness and rhythm of those songs but luckily! There is a such thing called Christian R&B music!
