Viper Ult
Hey fellow Valorant agents! If you're like me, you've probably seen Viper's ultimate, Viper's Pit, completely turn the tide of a round. But what exactly does it do, and how can you use it to its full potential? I've spent countless hours mastering our favorite toxic agent, and I'm here to spill the secrets on making her ultimate shine. First off, for those new to Viper or just looking for a refresher, Viper's Pit creates a massive, corrosive cloud that covers a large area. Enemies inside take decay damage, reducing their HP, and their vision is heavily obscured. It's a game-changer for controlling space! What's really cool is that as Viper, you're safe inside your own pit, getting a clear view of any enemies who dare to enter, as my recent game showed when I spotted an ENEMY in Mid right after deploying it, helping us secure a critical pick! So, how do you use this toxic masterpiece effectively? I've found it's brilliant for both attacking and defending spike sites. On offense, throwing your ult onto a site allows your team to push in with minimal risk. Enemies are forced to either push through the decay, giving you easy kills, or retreat, granting you free site control. Remember to communicate with your team – tell them when you're deploying it so they can follow up! A well-timed Viper's Pit can make a site entry feel almost effortless. For defense, Viper's Pit is an incredible retake tool. If the enemy has planted the SPIKE, dropping your ult on it forces them out or makes them fight you in a severely disadvantaged position. I've personally WON so many rounds by just denying defuses within the pit, especially when the enemy doesn't have enough time to clear out. It buys crucial seconds, and with your enhanced vision inside, you become a lurking predator. The OCR reminded me of a round where we were pushing B, and after winning an early skirmish, my pit helped us isolate the last enemy and secure the win! Another fantastic use is for mid-round control or cutting off rotations. If you know enemies are pushing a certain choke point or trying to rotate, popping your ult can completely shut them down. It creates an undeniable barrier. Just be mindful of its duration and your location. You need to stay within the pit for it to remain active, so don't get too aggressive and push out too far! Also, be aware of agents like Raze or Breach who can use abilities to flush you out or stun you inside your own pit. A pro tip I've learned: combine your ultimate with your Poison Cloud (Q) or Toxic Screen (E) for even more denial. If you have a specific angle you want to protect within your ult, throw a Poison Cloud there. It forces enemies to take double decay or avoid the area altogether. Mastering Viper's Pit isn't just about pressing X; it's about strategic placement, timing, and knowing when to capitalize on the chaos it creates. Keep practicing, and you'll be dominating rounds with Viper in no time!
