If they don't have plenty of photos to back it up
As a mother, I often think about how my children will look back on their childhoods. It’s easy to get caught up in capturing every moment on camera, but sometimes, life just happens too fast for perfect photo documentation. From personal experience, I know that the most cherished memories aren’t always the ones perfectly captured in images, but those filled with love, laughter, and sometimes chaos. Being an "overstimulated psycho" mom might sound negative, but it’s often the sign of a parent who tries so hard to give everything to their kids—whether it’s endless activities, late-night stories, or simply showing up whenever they need comfort. I remember feeling overwhelmed a lot, but I also know those moments were filled with genuine care and affection. What really matters is the quality of time spent together, not just the quantity of photos shared on social media or stored away. Kids grow up quickly, and while photos are precious, the lessons, values, and emotional support parents provide leave a much deeper impact. When they are older, I hope my children see past any imperfections to understand that my chaotic love was my best gift. If you’re a parent struggling to keep everything balanced, remember that memories live in hearts more than in photo albums. The best childhood is one filled with presence, even if all the moments aren’t perfectly captured.
