Hey my fellow perfume girlies! 👋 After asking you all to share your gorgeous perfume setups, I realized I should probably kick things off and share some of my own tips and tricks for displaying my scent collection! It's not just about having beautiful fragrances, right? It's also about how we showcase them, turning our vanities or dressers into a true #perfumecollection sanctuary. For me, displaying my perfumes is almost as fun as collecting them! It’s a chance to add a touch of personality and elegance to my space. I used to just haphazardly place bottles wherever they fit, but I quickly learned that a little organization goes a long way. Not only does it make my collection look more aesthetically pleasing, but it also makes it easier to choose my SOTD (scent of the day)! My Go-To Perfume Setup Essentials & Creative Ways to Display Perfume: Decorative Trays: These are a game-changer! I love using mirrored trays or ceramic ones to group smaller collections. They instantly elevate the look and contain any potential spills, making cleaning much easier – just move the tray! For a luxurious feel, look for gold-rimmed or marble-effect trays. Acrylic Risers/Shelves: If you have a decent-sized collection like mine, risers are a must. They allow you to see all your bottles, even the ones in the back, preventing them from getting lost or forgotten. I found some clear acrylic steps on Amazon that are perfect for tiered displays, creating a beautiful visual flow. It's like building little perfume stadiums where every bottle gets its spotlight! Dedicated Shelving: For my larger bottles or those I use less frequently, I have a small wall-mounted shelf above my vanity. This frees up precious counter space and turns my perfumes into a decorative feature. When choosing a spot, always ensure it's not in direct sunlight, as UV rays are the enemy of fragrance longevity! A shaded corner or interior wall is ideal. Drawer Organizers: Not every perfume needs to be on display. For travel sizes, samples, or backup bottles, drawer organizers are perfect. They keep everything tidy and protected from light, which is crucial for preserving the scent's integrity. Plus, it declutters your visible perfume setup. Lighting: A little soft lighting can make your setup sparkle! I have a small, battery-operated LED strip light tucked under my main display shelf, and it really makes the bottles pop, especially the ones with beautiful glasswork. It gives off such a luxurious, boudoir-like vibe, perfect for evening routines. Tips for an Insta-Worthy and Practical Perfume Setup: Group by Aesthetics or Use: Sometimes I arrange my perfumes by bottle color, height, or even brand for a cohesive visual. Other times, I group my everyday scents together for easy access, and my special occasion perfume collection separately. Incorporate Greenery: A small faux plant, a preserved moss ball, or even a fresh flower in a tiny vase can add a touch of life and freshness to your display. It breaks up the glass and adds an organic element. Personal Touches: Don't be afraid to add a small trinket, a pretty candle (unlit, of course, to avoid scent clashes!), or a framed photo to make the display uniquely yours. It’s all about creating a vibe that reflects your personality. Keep it Clean and Dust-Free: Dust is the enemy of a beautiful display! A quick wipe-down with a microfiber cloth every few days keeps everything looking pristine and your bottles shimmering. Regular rotation of bottles ensures none are forgotten. I’m constantly evolving my #perfumesetup, but these are the basics that have transformed my vanity from cluttered to chic. I hope these ideas inspire you to experiment with your own displays. Remember, your perfume collection is a reflection of you, so make it shine! What are your favorite ways to display perfume? I'd love to hear your tricks too!
