-Season with to taste with cajun seasoning, onion powder, garlic powder and black pepper

-Add in 1/2 of a chopped red onion and 3-4 cloves of chopped garlic and then add in 1 tsp of tomato paste

-Drain meat and add back to pot and add in:

1 can black beans

1 can tomato sauce (I used unsalted, but you can use regular )

1 can Rotel Chili Fixins

1 can Fire roasted tomatoes

1 pack of chili seasoning

1/2 c. chicken broth

-Season to taste with Cajun seasoning, onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper, a little salt and 1.5 tsp chicken bouillon seasoning (taste and season as you go, I had to season more because the unsalted tomato sauce watered down some of the chili seasoning flavor)

-Simmer for 15 min on low heat

Ground turkey is a great choice for a leaner option, but you can also use ground beef, chicken, or even plant-based proteins depending on your dietary preferences. The addition of Cajun seasoning adds a lovely depth of flavor with a mild kick, balanced by onion powder, garlic powder, and black pepper. Including tomato paste helps to concentrate the tomato flavor, while the mix of tomato sauce, Rotel Chili Fixins, and fire-roasted tomatoes creates a rich and savory base. Black beans are a fantastic source of fiber and protein, enhancing the nutritional profile of the chili.
