Summer is for simple play ✨

We love making soap foam for sensory play, but today we used it to make ice cream cones!

You just need to blend 1/4 cup tear free soap with 1/2 cup water. I like to add a little food coloring just for fun.

... Read moreSummer is the perfect time for simple, engaging activities that encourage toddlers to explore their creativity and have fun outdoors. One of the best sensory activities you can try is making soap foam ice cream cones. Not only is this craft easy to set up, but it also allows children to enjoy playing with colors and textures while developing fine motor skills. Simply blend 1/4 cup of tear-free soap with 1/2 cup of water to make fluffy foam. Adding food coloring can really enhance the experience, making it a visual delight for kids. Incorporating sensory play into your summer activities is beneficial for toddlers as it stimulates their senses, boosts cognitive development, and keeps them occupied. Outdoor play not only improves physical health through active movement but also fosters social skills when children engage in group activities. Ideas for accessories can include small plastic cones, spoons, and even fun toppings to mimic a real ice cream shop. Encourage imaginative play by setting up an ice cream stall where they can 'serve' ice cream to family members. Remember, the key to enriching your toddler's summer play is to keep activities simple, engaging, and safe. Explore variations such as making different colors of foam or introducing scents to enhance the sensory experience. Happy summer crafting!
