The Wedding Was the Easy Part! ๐
๐ You Could Do Damage Too โ K.C. Mills ๐น
Now see, THIS is why I donโt believe in celebrating a happily ever after before the last page! Because why are we STILL going through things?! ๐ญ๐คฃ
Kincaid and Nari may have gotten the marriage part figured out, but baby, everything that came AFTER was a whole different situation! Between the pregnancy, family secrets, outside threats, and everybody having something going on, WHERE WAS THE PEACE?! ๐ซ
And what I appreciated about this second book was that the relationship wasnโt the only thing developing. Nari was finding her footing, figuring out what she wanted her life to look like, and learning that she could have a family without sacrificing herself in the process. โค๏ธ
Meanwhile, Kincaid was being Kincaid! ๐คฆ๐พโโ๏ธ๐คฃ Sir, not every situation requires you to take over! Sometimes the best thing you can do is let somebody handle their business!
But hereโs what really kept me invested: the consequences. Because decisions made out of love, fear, loyalty, or pure stubbornness still have consequences. And these two had more than enough to sort through!
Now, donโt get me wrong. I love a little chaos in my fictional relationships. Actually, who am I kidding? I clearly enjoy A LOT of chaos! ๐ญ๐ฉ But I also love seeing characters grow beyond the circumstances that brought them together.
And thatโs what made this continuation worth talking about. It wasnโt just about whether Kincaid and Nari loved each other. It was about what their love could withstand and what kind of future they were actually building. ๐โค๏ธ
Because apparently getting married was the EASY part! ๐ญ๐คฃ
๐ป Question for my book besties: Did this second book make you love Kincaid and Nari more, or did they work your last good nerve?!
