นอกจากความอลังการและประวัติศาสตร์ที่เล่ามาในบทความนี้ ผมขอแชร์ประสบการณ์เพิ่มเติมที่อาจเป็นประโยชน์สำหรับผู้ที่จะไปเยือนสุสานจิ๋นซีซีอาน เมื่อได้เข้าชมกองทัพทหารดินเผา สิ่งที่สะดุดตาคือการอนุรักษ์ที่พิถีพิถัน เช่น การคลุมห่อด้วยวัสดุป้องกันเพื่อรักษาสีสันเดิมของทหารดินเผาที่เคยมีสีสดใส ซึ่งเป็นเรื่องที่ผมไม่เคยรู้มาก่อน การรักษาสภาพแวดล้อมภายในหลุมฝังศพจึงถือเป็นความท้าทายใหญ่ในการเก็บรักษามรดกโบราณคดีนี้ไว้ให้คนรุ่นหลังได้ชมอย่างสมบูรณ์ อีกเรื่องที่น่าสนใจ คือการจัดทัพทหารดินเผาที่มีหลายชนิด ทั้งทหารราบ ทหารม้า และทหารธนู ทำให้เห็นภาพกองทัพโบราณที่ซับซ้อนและมีการวางแผนอย่างละเอียด ผมเชื่อว่าการเช่า Audioguide หรือมีไกด์ท้องถิ่นคอยอธิบายจะช่วยให้เข้าใจเรื่องนี้ได้ลึกซึ้งยิ่งขึ้น เรื่องการเดินทาง แม้จะมีตัวเลือกหลายแบบ แต่สำหรับผมการใช้ Didi ทำให้สะดวกและประหยัดเวลามาก หากพักอยู่ในตัวเมืองซีอาน ควรเผื่อเวลาเดินทางและเวลาเที่ยวในสถานที่นี้อย่างน้อย 2–3 ชั่วโมง เพราะกองทัพทหารดินเผานั้นมีขนาดใหญ่และน่าประทับใจมาก สำหรับคนที่วางแผนไปช่วงหน้าร้อน แนะนำให้เตรียมน้ำดื่มและพัดลมพกพาไปด้วย เพราะพื้นที่ค่อนข้างกว้างและอากาศร้อน นอกจากนี้ควรแต่งกายสบาย ๆ และใส่รองเท้าที่เดินได้คล่อง เพราะต้องเดินและยืนชมผลงานจำนวนไม่น้อย สุดท้ายนี้ การได้ไปเห็นกองทัพทหารดินเผาอย่างใกล้ชิด ไม่ใช่แค่ประสบการณ์ด้านการท่องเที่ยวเท่านั้น แต่ยังเป็นโอกาสได้สัมผัสกับมรดกทางวัฒนธรรมที่ทรงคุณค่าและเก่าแก่ที่สุดแห่งหนึ่งของจีน ซึ่งผมตั้งใจว่าถ้ามีโอกาสจะกลับไปอีกครั้งเพื่อเรียนรู้และเก็บภาพประทับใจมากขึ้น
