🗺️The Lost City of the Monkey God 🙈
- Douglas Preston.
A non-fiction book that tells the story of the discovery of cities and ancient civilizations like the lost City of a Monkey God (or White City) in the Mosquitia rainforest, Honduras, where the project was led by Steve Elkins and Bill Beneson, who led LiDAR technology to explore this legendary archaeological site.
🌳 --- Personal comments --- 🌳
I really like it. With the novelty of never reading an archaeological documentary like this before, it feels very open to the world. It's a bit difficult to read because of a lot of specific vocabulary. It takes a lot of imagination to think about the picture, but it's a lot of fun. It's a combination of history and adventure, so I don't feel bored.
And the more pictures to look around, the more it makes me feel. I want to go to see the documentary because I want to see the real picture. The picture can see how much it matches what we think. 🤣🤣
Another thing to like is that the book has more to do with the discovery of lost ancient cities, such as
1.Previous story of what happened, who did what, who deceived the world
2. Difficulties in exploration before technology comes to help
3. The myths told from generation to generation and the scientific reasons for the myths.
4. Various dangers within the deep rainforest
5.Drama in the circles of exploration and research studies on archaeology
6. An analysis of the connection of various civilizations and the possibility of the causes of the collapse of civilizations is discussed in this book.
😊❤️ Finally, I want to thank the friends who met from the Drug Sign Association, the books that sent them (and others) to read. I know I've chosen them well.
