Her (2013) Review

I recently revisited Spike Jonze's 'Her' (2013), and it truly holds up as a thought-provoking sci-fi romance that feels even more relevant today. The Pacing is deliberate and contemplative; it allows you to sink into Theodore’s world and truly feel the progression of his relationship with Samantha. It’s never rushed, giving space for the emotional beats to land. Spike Jonze's Writing is brilliant, exploring profound themes without being preachy. It questions the nature of love, what constitutes a 'real' relationship, and how technology shapes our emotional landscape. Is it possible to find true love with an AI? Can an OS experience emotions? The film doesn't offer easy answers but encourages deep introspection. The Ending is bittersweet and incredibly impactful, leaving you with much to ponder.
