Chicken & Brown Sugar Cinnamon Waffle
Good brunch good idea. Quick and simple. I mean, who doesn’t love chicken and waffles? I know I do. 😏
Ingredients used:
1 cup Krusteaz Buttermilk Pancake Mix or Pearl Milling Company Pancake Mix (or your pancake mix of choice)
1/2 tsp Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Nutmeg
1 to 2 tsps Light Brown Sugar
1 tbsp Vegetable Oil
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl until smooth. NO LUMPS. Pour batter onto the waffle iron. Let it cook until golden brown.
You can prepare and fry your own chicken or chicken tenders unto your liking or use frozen precooked chicken of your choice. (In this photo, I used frozen precooked chicken tenders instead preparing and frying chicken like I would normally)
Then, drizzle some warm maple syrup on top. That’s it.
Bon Appetit! Enjoy. 👩🏽🍳

If you want to elevate your chicken and waffles experience, consider pairing this recipe with classic sides like coleslaw, maple syrup, or spicy honey for a perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors. You can also experiment with different toppings such as fresh berries or whipped cream to add a fresh twist. For those using frozen chicken tenders, reheating them in an air fryer can help restore crispiness. To make your waffles extra special, try adding a pinch of vanilla extract or substituting part of the pancake mix with cornmeal to create a cornbread waffle variation. This dish can also be transformed into a fun sandwich by layering the chicken between two smaller waffles, ideal for a grab-and-go meal or kids’ lunch. Overall, this recipe is flexible and welcoming to your personal taste preferences, making it a go-to choice for a comforting breakfast or brunch gathering.
