Hey everyone! I'm so excited to dive a bit deeper into my Pokémon Go Hundo collection journey. When I first started playing, I never imagined I’d be closing in on 500 perfect IV Pokémon – it’s truly wild to think about! For those new to the term, a 'Hundo' is a Pokémon with 100% Individual Values (IVs) in Attack, Defense, and HP. Essentially, they're as perfect as a Pokémon can get in the game, making them highly sought after for battles, raids, and simply for the pride of collecting. My motivation to collect Hundos grew over time. Initially, I was just playing for fun, but as I learned more about IVs and the competitive side of Pokémon Go, I became obsessed with finding these rare gems. There's a unique thrill in catching a seemingly ordinary Pokémon and discovering it has perfect stats. It’s like finding a shiny, but with a practical edge for gameplay! I've spent countless hours exploring my local area, especially around Newton, IA, where many of my proudest catches, like my perfect Sableye and Drizzile, were found. So, how do I find so many Hundos? It’s a mix of strategy, patience, and a little bit of luck! Here are my top tips: Check Every Pokémon: This might sound obvious, but don't just dismiss common spawns. Some of my most surprising Hundos, like a perfect Pikachu, came from standard encounters. Always appraise! Raid Battles & Research Tasks: These are fantastic sources. Pokémon from raids and research tasks have a minimum IV floor, meaning they have a higher chance of being a Hundo. I've gotten some incredible ones, including powerful raid attackers, this way. Lucky Trades: Trading Pokémon with friends can make them 'Lucky Pokémon,' which also guarantees a minimum IV floor. This greatly increases your chances of getting a Hundo from a trade. It's a great way to try and perfect those Pokémon you already have with good stats. Shadow Pokémon & Purifying: While Shadow Pokémon have lower IVs, purifying them adds +2 to each stat. If you catch a Shadow Pokémon with high enough IVs (like 13/13/13 or higher), purifying it could turn it into a Hundo! My perfect Snorlax came from a careful purification. Community Days & Events: During events, certain Pokémon spawn in much higher numbers. This dramatically increases your chances of encountering a Hundo. Always make time for these! I remember a Community Day where I caught multiple Hundos just by playing actively. Use In-Game Tools: The in-game appraisal system is your best friend. Learn to quickly recognize the 4-star symbol for Hundos. It hasn't always been easy. There have been times I've walked for hours, hoping for that perfect spawn, only to come up empty-handed. But the joy of finally seeing that 4-star appraisal pop up makes every effort worth it. Each Hundo in my collection, from the majestic Tyrunt to the quirky Drifloon and the powerful Primeape, tells a story. They represent hours of dedication and the thrill of the hunt.
