Living on Long Island can indeed be pricey, especially in highly sought-after areas close to the city or prime waterfronts. But for many, the quality of life, excellent schools, and access to both natural escapes and city amenities make it a worthwhile investment. It’s about finding the right balance for your budget and lifestyle. There are still more affordable towns, especially as you move further east, that offer just as much charm and community spirit.
