私も以前、友人がiPhoneを紛失してしまい、その際に『探す』機能の重要性を強く実感しました。特に盗難時には、犯人が電源をオフにしようとしたり、SIMカードを抜いて機内モー ドに切り替えたりと位置特定を妨害しようとするケースが多いですが、Appleの「探す」ネットワークを利用することで、電源オフ後でもiPhoneの位置情報がAppleデバイス間の匿名Bluetooth信号を通じて送信され、発見しやすくなります。設定のポイントは「探すネットワーク」をオンにし、「最後の位置情報を送信」を必ず有効にしておくこと。また、コントロールセンターをロック画面で無効化することで、盗難時に盗難犯がすぐに「探す」機能などを操作できなくし、盗難発生後のリスクをさらに減らせます。 実際に私はこの設定を行ってからというもの、スマホ紛失の不安が減り、安心して日常を過ごせています。加えて、Apple IDのパスワード管理や二段階認証も併用すれば、不正アクセス防止に繋がるためおすすめです。さらに、緊急時に備えてロック画面からのアクセス許可設定をチェックし、個人情報の流出を最小限に抑えましょう。 もし盗難に遭った場合は、早急にiCloudの『iPhoneを探す』で所在確認と遠隔ロックまたは消去を行い、被害拡大を防ぐことが大切です。盗難対策は面倒に思えるかもしれませんが、万一のときのために確実に準備しておくと、その後のトラブルを大幅に軽減できます。是非、今回紹介した設定をすぐに実践して、大切なiPhoneと個人情報を守ってくださいね。
