We humans never blame ourselves first. That is the nature that is deeply embedded in all of us. We will always reason to support our actions, create stories to explain why we do it and why what we do makes sense.
Therefore, warning or reproaching others is not very intelligent behavior.
What we want from others cannot be redeemed by criticism. Every time we reproach someone, what we get is temporary comfort, but what that person gets back is unease and resentment that accumulates inside.
"Don't complain about the snow on the roof of your neighbor's house when your front stairs are still dirty."
Before criticizing anyone, fix your story.
And keep in mind that we do not deal with rational humans, but with humans who have emotions, feelings, and changes in their hearts.

People who always like to blame and punish others are often those who cannot see themselves; fools promise and then follow their emotions; but wholesome people are those who control themselves, understand others, and are always willing to forgive.
And this is an idea I got from the first chapter of this book, how do friends think?
