My own picks at the kids book fair 😅🦃🎅

#asklemon8 #lemon8contest Is anybody else still a kid at heart and use doing stuff with your kids and volunteering at the school to get stuff for themselves and get to be a kid again?!!! I swear I always volunteer for the Scholastic Book fair at my son's school and I come back with books for myself. I was hoping they had Little Critters books still because my dad passed away a year ago and he loved Little Critters, but I found me and my son some good ones anyways! I opened this book and saw Santa and a turkey fighting and what looked like the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade and had to get it! The Thanksgiving Day parade and Santa coming out is my favorite part of the day, along with the Dog Show! 😅🦃🎅🎄🍁#HOLIDAY #books #christmas

... Read moreVolunteering at a kids' book fair like the Scholastic Book Fair is one of those special ways to reconnect not only with your children but also with your own childhood joys. Many parents find themselves eagerly browsing the aisles, picking books that resonate personally or hold nostalgic value. For instance, this year’s pick featuring Santa and a turkey in a lighthearted faceoff, accompanied by illustrations by Giovanni Abeille and penned by Todd Tarpley, brings a delightful twist to classic holiday themes. This kind of book captures the festive magic of events like the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade, which is cherished by families nationwide. The parade’s iconic floats and characters, including Santa’s grand arrival, create cherished memories and holiday traditions. Combining this excitement with a playful story about a turkey makes the book a perfect way to engage children and adults alike during the holiday season. Books like these make excellent gifts or additions to your family’s holiday reading collection. They stimulate imagination, promote family bonding, and celebrate the holiday spirit in a fun, accessible way. Many parents also find that having books related to school events or holiday festivities encourages children to develop a love for reading through relatable and festive storytelling. Beyond the stories themselves, participating in book fairs can have a meaningful emotional impact. Picking out titles linked to personal memories — such as Little Critters books that connect to cherished family moments — can deepen the holiday experience and help keep the spirit of loved ones alive. Whether it’s the excitement of the Dog Show or counting down to Santa’s arrival, these stories resonate with the magic of the season. So next time you volunteer at a school book fair or hunt for holiday books, consider options that blend fun, tradition, and heartfelt storytelling to create lasting memories for your kids and yourself.
