Okay, so I was just wondering, remember that iconic song 'Flashlight' from *Pitch Perfect*? I always thought it was written specifically for the movie, and guess what? It totally was! Jessie J co-wrote it for *Pitch Perfect 2*, and it became such a massive hit, perfectly capturing the Barden Bellas' spirit. It’s one of those songs that just sticks with you, right? Yes, the Rihanna and the Adele! It's wild to think what their versions might have sounded like. But, as fate would have it, both of them also ended up rejecting the song. Can you believe it? Three rejections for such a powerful track! Ultimately, Sia, being the incredible artist she is, decided to release 'Bird Set Free' herself on her album *This Is Acting*. And honestly, I think it was meant to be. Her raw emotion and unique delivery make the song truly hers. It just goes to show that sometimes, even the most amazing songs have a long and winding road before they reach our ears. It's almost like the song itself had to be 'set free' to find its true voice with Sia. It makes you appreciate the songs we love even more when you know the backstory, doesn't it?
