Workout Split
This is my current workout split and here are some tips for my beginners
As someone who transitioned from a mostly sedentary routine to an active lifestyle, I found that the key to sticking with a workout split is flexibility and personalizing it to fit daily needs. The author's approach of lifting at least three times a week while balancing cardio and functional core work resonates well with managing energy and avoiding burnout. In my experience, incorporating step goals like aiming for 10,000 steps daily not only boosts cardiovascular health but also encourages more movement throughout the day, which is essential when you have a desk job or limited time for formal workouts. Additionally, mixing workout types—like strength days focused on specific muscle groups and lighter activity days doing something enjoyable such as tennis or calisthenics—helps maintain motivation. For beginners especially, trying out different styles and listening to your body’s response can guide you to the most enjoyable and effective routine. Tracking progress without being overly strict is important; it’s about consistency rather than perfection. Including warm-ups or core exercises as a functional additive improves overall fitness and reduces injury risk. Overall, this workout split is approachable and sustainable, catering to variation and individual needs, making it ideal for those just starting out or anyone with a busy or sedentary lifestyle.
