Wild woman series
If you’re stuck in your head right now, this isn’t confusion, It’s disconnection. #folklore #psyche #women #wildwoman #tibetan
In reflecting on the themes of the Wild Woman Series, I’ve found that feeling 'stuck in your head' often signals a deeper state of disconnection rather than mere confusion. From my experience, embracing this moment requires awareness of how our inner movement—or lack thereof—shapes our mental state. The image of Dákini, the Sky Dancer and disruptor, strongly resonates with this concept. Traditionally, a Dákini symbolizes transformative female energy that disrupts stagnant thought patterns and encourages fluidity. When overthinking turns into a loop, it can obscure clarity and perception, making it harder to move forward. One practical approach I’ve used is mindful movement—whether it's dancing, walking, or gentle stretching—to physically disrupt these mental loops and bring new energy into my awareness. This aligns with the Tibetan understanding of movement as a way to shift mental rigidity and restore connection. I’ve also noticed that carrying the 'shoulders' of mental and emotional burdens can weigh heavily, keeping us disconnected from our intuitive wisdom. The Wild Woman archetype encourages us to shed these weights and engage in practices that foster clarity. Journaling, meditation on folklore themes, and spending time in nature helped me reconnect with my wild, instinctual self. Overall, disconnection isn’t a sign of failure but an invitation to realign with deeper parts of ourselves. By embracing movement and honoring traditional symbols like the Dákini, we can transform mental loops into moments of insight. This journey enhances self-awareness and nurtures a powerful connection between mind, body, and spirit.
