I've been experimenting with airfried desserts lately, and airfried apples have quickly become one of my favorite easy treats. What I love most about this recipe is how quickly it comes together and how customizable it is. By cutting the apples in half and removing the core, you create little cups that hold the cinnamon and honey mixture perfectly while cooking. Using an airfryer at 200°C for about 15 minutes gives the apples a beautifully tender texture without becoming mushy. The cinnamon powder adds a warm, spicy note that pairs wonderfully with the natural sweetness of the apples and honey. Adding ice cream on top right after cooking takes the dessert to another level by contrasting the warm apples with a cold creamy finish. From my experience, Granny Smith and Fuji apples work great for this recipe because they hold their shape well and balance tartness and sweetness. Also, lining the airfryer tray with baking paper is an essential tip to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier. For a healthier twist, I sometimes swap honey for pure maple syrup or omit the ice cream, topping the apples instead with Greek yogurt. You can also sprinkle chopped nuts like walnuts or pecans on top for added crunch and flavor. This airfried apple dessert is ideal for busy days when I want something homemade and comforting but don’t want to spend much time in the kitchen. It’s a versatile recipe that can be enjoyed as a quick snack, a light dessert after meals, or even a special treat during colder months. Also, the ease of preparation encourages me to eat more fruits in a fun, delicious way! If you haven’t tried airfrying apples yet, I highly recommend giving this recipe a go. It’s a simple and rewarding way to enjoy a warm, satisfying dessert with minimal effort.
