Something you don’t like anymore? 💭
As we’re getting older our perspectives and tolerances start to shift, leading us to start to dislike certain things. Big or small. Whether that’s a type of drink or lifestyles, hobby’s, etc. Old habits start to fade as time goes by ? 😪
💭 What’s something you are starting to dislike? Let’s chat in the comments!
👇🏽Here are some of my dislikes as I am starting to get older.
👎🏽1.) Staying up Late! 🌛 Ya girl can’t stay up til 2am anymore!! Sleep has become way too valuable for me now, it’s becoming more exhausting to stay up late rather than exciting. Plus I get crabby the next morning now compared to 5yrs ago.
👎🏽 2.) Strangely enough collecting items! About 2-3 yrs ago I realized that I was a hoarder. Within that time frame I have been throwing out SO much stuff! Home is supposed to feel relaxing and safe at the end of the day, not buried under stuff! (My “hoarding” wasn’t that bad but) I’m definitely picking more of a minimalist lifestyle nowadays.
👎🏽 3.) “Trendy” clothing 👠! High heels, tight jeans, trendy clothes that only are in style for a short period of time are useless now. All of those clothes then start to pile up your closet leaving you with frustration. #minimalist
👎🏽 4.) People pleasing. Constantly wanting to meet everyone’s needs is exhausting and will lead to burn out and resentment. When you put others needs before your own, you start to neglect your own needs. It weakens boundaries you have with that person and it opens a door to manipulation. Some people will take advantage of a people pleaser knowing they won’t say no.

Aging brings significant changes to our preferences and habits. Many people find themselves reevaluating their likes and dislikes as they grow older. This could include a shift in social activities, fashion choices, or even living environments. For instance, late-night outings that once felt exhilarating may now lead to fatigue, making sleep a priority that both benefits health and improves overall mood. Similarly, a tendency to collect items can morph into a desire for minimalism, resulting from a longing for a more organized and peaceful living space. Fashion trends might also lose their charm; items that feel outdated or uncomfortable are often tossed aside in favor of comfort and functionality. This transformation highlights the importance of self-care and mental well-being over societal expectations. Moreover, the pressure to please others frequently becomes exhausting; many individuals begin to recognize the importance of setting boundaries to protect their emotional health. By reflecting on these shifts, readers can engage in a dialogue about the meaningful changes that come with aging, as well as learn from each other's experiences, ultimately fostering community and support.

I'm really starting to dislike people! Dislike going to the grocery store! Traffic is the worst. People don't know how to drive.
