GISTDA reveals flood risk areas from Chao Phraya Dam drainage: Pathum Thani, Nonthaburi and Bangkok
These three provinces are very much the areas to watch for from the increased drainage of the Chao Phraya Dam, especially the areas on the banks of the Chao Phraya River and the tributary canals, which are special surveillance points, including areas outside the barrier, also known as the "fault line."
Increasing the drainage of the Chao Phraya Dam has resulted in a rise in the water level of the Chao Phraya River and a chance to flood areas. 2. Nonthaburi Province has many marshland areas along the river, especially Pak Kok and Bang Cone, that may be affected by rising water levels.
