ในช่วงที่ฝุ่น PM2.5 มีค่าเกินมาตรฐาน กรุงเทพฯ ได้ออกมาตรการเข้มข้นเพื่อลดแหล่งกำเนิดฝุ่นโดยเฉพาะการควบคุมในไซต์ก่อสร้างและยานพาหนะที่มีควันดำอย่างเคร่งครัด การสื่อสารกับประชาชนเพื่อให้เกิดความร่วมมืออย่างเข้มแข็ง เช่น การส่งเสริมให้ Work from Home ในช่วงฝุ่นสูง ถือเป็นแนวทางการลดการจราจรที่ได้ผล นอกจากนี้ การตรวจสอบและสั่งปิดไซต์ก่อสร้างหรือบังคับใช้มาตรการปรับปรุงอย่างรวดเร็ว ช่วยให้การจัดการฝุ่นละอองมีประสิทธิภาพมากขึ้น ส่วนปัญหาน้ำทะเลหนุนในช่วงปลายปีนั้น กรุงเทพมหานครได้เร่งตรวจสอบการป้องกันน้ำท่วมในพื้นที่เสี่ยงโดยเฉพาะที่อยู่นอกคันกั้นน้ำและตามจุดฟันหลอซึ่งเป็นจุดอ่อนในระบบป้องกันน้ำ การเรียงกระสอบทรายและการสร้างสะพานไม้ชั่วคราวเป็นวิธีการทันทีเพื่อปกป้องประชาชนจากน้ำทะเลหนุน นอกจากนั้น ยังมีการเตรียมมาตรการช่วยเหลือผู้ได้รับผลกระทบอย่างเป็นระบบ รวมถึงประสานงานภาครัฐและองค์กรท้องถิ่นเพื่อเพิ่มความรวดเร็วในการรับมือ ในด้านการจัดระเบียบเมือง ผู้ว่าฯ กทม.ได้มอบหมายให้ผู้อำนวยการเขตลงพื้นที่ตรวจสอบการจัดระเบียบหาบเร่แผงลอยและการก่อสร้างที่อาจส่งผลกระทบต่อผู้อยู่อาศัย เพื่อสร้างความเป็นระเบียบเรียบร้อยในชุมชนและพื้นที่สาธารณะอย่างต่อเนื่อง ทั้งนี้ การสร้างสภาพแวดล้อมเมืองที่ดีควบคู่กับการคุมเข้มปัญหาฝุ่นและน้ำทะเลหนุน จะช่วยให้กรุงเทพมหานครเป็นเมืองที่น่าอยู่และยั่งยืนสำหรับคนกรุงเทพฯ และผู้ที่มาเยือน
