The dissolution of Parliament officially announced the dissolution of Parliament, preparing to advance new elections for not less than 45 days but not more than 60 days.
The Gazette, publishing the dissolution of Parliament in 2025, stated that His Majesty King Praetorama, Director-General of Sri Sindaryawongkorn at Vajiralongkorn, had the Royal Productions to announce that, with the Prime Minister having adopted the prostrate, he should dissolve the House of Representatives to hold the election of a new Member of Parliament as a general election.
With the Prime Minister bowing down to the Government since September 2025, a minority government consisting of several political parties has joined the government, but has not had a majority in the House of Representatives during which the country has faced many challenges because of the world's economic, social, political, international relations and geopolitics, as well as the unrest on the Thai-Cambodian border.
The government has accelerated all means of public administration to successfully solve the pressing problems of the beset country as soon as possible, and is committed to ensuring stability, order and peace for the nation and the country to advance the politics of governance for the benefit of the people, such as pushing for constitutional amendments, speeding up solutions.
The impact of trade wars, economic policy drives to increase income for citizens and communities to reduce disparities in all dimensions, helping to heal the heat of citizens suffering from natural disasters, preventing and suppressing gambling wells, online gambling, cyber transnational crime, and various forms of public deception.
Accelerating the resolution of the dispute between Thailand and Cambodia through appropriate diplomatic dialogue mechanisms coupled with strong national defence, as well as establishing measures to take action to accommodate and minimize the impact in various areas that may be on the people.
But public administration needs to be stable. However, where the government is a minority government, coupled with domestic political situations that are beset in many ways, the government is unable to run the public sector continuously, effectively and stable. If left to this situation, it will cause political instability and affect international confidence, which can significantly affect the country's economic system.
To bring about the deterioration of the people's faith in the parliamentary system and democratic governance, the appropriate solution is to dissolve the House of Representatives to hold the election of new MPs as a general election, to restore political decision-making power to the people of the Supreme Power as soon as possible, to allow the rule of the monarch-head democracy to continue and to acquire a majority and stable government with a righteous mandate from the people to ensure the smooth and orderly administration of the public administration. By virtue of Article 103 and Article 175 of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand, it is kindly productive to enact the decree. Up the following
Article 1 This decree is called the "Decree for the Dissolution of the House of Representatives, 2018."
Article 2 This Ordinance shall apply from the date of publication in the Gazette onwards.
Section 3 shall dissolve the House of Representatives to allow for the election of new MPs. It is a general election.
Section 4 provides for the general election of Members of Parliament on the date specified by the Election Commission, which shall not be less than forty-five days but not more than sixty days from the date of entry into force of this Ordinance.
Section 5 provides that the Chairman of the Election Committee shall maintain in accordance with this Ordinance.
