190 - 155 weight loss journey.. how?!

I’ve continued my weight loss journey and this is my current progress. I have never felt better!

I was a size 16-18 and now a size 10..

Yes, my eating habits changed but honestly I don’t hold to a strict diet.. if I want a burger, I’m going to have a burger… but it is about limiting and seeing what you’re putting into your body, I would love to eat pasta EVERY night but that is not what my body needs.. I prioritize protein. Not just meat but all sorts of protein. And I cut out a lot of soda and replaced it with green tea, my FAVORITE is the refreshers from Dunkin!! 🤭

The SECRET ⬇️⬇️⬇️

For working out, I do have a solid split I try to stick too but also if I feel weak I go a little lighter or if I feel strong I go a little harder… you have to understand and feel what your body needs. But no matter what.. the secret.. is the 12-3-30. When I say my body changed drastically after i started doing this.. i was amazed!!

What is that exactly?! It’s very simple, one the treadmill, for incline is at 12, your speed is at 3, and you stay on there for at MINIMUM 30 minutes!!! This allows your body to go into a mode that burns that fat off SOO much faster than just walking for 30 minutes or an hour!

At first I didn’t think it was going to be hard but OMG I was out of breathe so fast, I did work myself up to that point.. I’m also not the average height.. I’m 5’2 so I had to start out at 10/2.5/30 because on my short legs not used to it!!

I hope this was helpful and please if you’re curious about more feel free to comment!! I was told this little “secret” by a military personal who went into basic training and learnd that what tney did to slime up their heavier guys, so id that works for them it’s gotta work for me too… right?! And it has!! Thank you so much!!

... Read moreEmbarking on a weight loss journey can feel overwhelming, but focusing on sustainable habits truly makes a difference. From my experience, a major takeaway is how incorporating variety and flexibility into your routine avoids burnout and keeps motivation high. For instance, I don’t deprive myself of favorite treats like burgers; instead, I practice moderation, which helps me maintain balance without feeling restricted. Another key to my success has been the 12-3-30 treadmill workout: walking on an incline of 12 at a speed of 3 mph for at least 30 minutes. This technique not only elevates fat-burning but also improves cardiovascular endurance. Starting slower and building up, especially if you have a shorter stride like me, helps prevent discouragement and allows your body to adapt comfortably. Additionally, hydration plays a crucial role—I swapped sugary sodas for green tea and delicious refreshers from Dunkin, which keep me refreshed and support metabolism. Protein intake, from a variety of sources beyond just meat—like legumes, nuts, and dairy—is vital for muscle repair and satiety, which helps reduce overeating. Listening to your body is essential. On days when you feel less energetic, don’t hesitate to adjust intensity, and when you feel strong, push a bit more. This adaptable approach fosters long-term consistency. Inspired by military training methods that efficiently slim down recruits, the integration of structured yet customizable workouts with mindful eating habits creates a powerful formula for effective, lasting weight loss. Remember, the journey is personal; celebrate progress at every step and use these tips to find what truly works for you.
