Visa application

Visas apply. What to prepare is different by country and visa type, but there are basic documents that almost everywhere requires it. I summarize it as a comprehensive Czech list that works for most.

Basic documents that should be prepared

1. Passport

• Must be at least 6 months old

• There are blank pages for visa stickers.

2. Visa application form

• Download from the embassy web or fill in online

• Complete and sign (English)

3. Photo according to given size

• Mostly a white background, 2 inches or 3.5 × 4.5 cm.

• Not more than 6 months

4. Financial evidence

• Bank statement backwards 3-6 months (request at bank)

• Bank credentials (if required)

5.Proof of work or study (English)

• Work Certificate / Leave / Salary Slip

• If you are a student, use institutional credentials.

6. Travel evidence

• Flight ticket reservation (round-trip)

• Hotel or accommodation reservation

7. Travel insurance

• Protection of minimum medical expenses as required

For example, Schengen needs 30,000 euros.

8. Additional specific documents

• Invitation letter (if visiting relatives / friends / business)

• Work permit (if it is a work visa)

• Institutional acceptance certificate (if student visa)
