SPA IN SHANGHAI: ✅ WORTH EVERY CENT SPENT ✨
if you’re looking for a spa or a massage in Shanghai, this might be one for consideration!
this is called Enjoy Spa, located about 50 minutes by the metro from my hotel. (i must say that is likely further away, but the travel for there is worth).
so this is my first time heading to Shanghai, and I discovered this spa on 美团 (a Chinese app for food deliveries or retail discounts, which you can use at their off-line store)
here’s a breakdown of what I really love:
🌟 free flow food buffet that you can enjoy after the spa and massage (I love the chicken and the wonton soup)
🌟 super clean changing area (they provide toiletries and personal care items for you to use such as skincare, mouthwash, towels, disposable underwear, sanitarypads)
🌟 a staff is located in the changing area to assist you if you have any needs (fyi, the shower area has no hook for you to hang your clothes, so you would have to get the stuff to pass you a towel after you’re done showering)
🌟 private room for massage in general (they have private rooms for big families, couples or even individual)
🌟 for each package that you buy, it gives you 4 hours of usage to the private rooms ! donote that includes massage time as well! (fyi, for the foot massage, it comes with TV entertainment for you to watch, but if you are doing a full body spa, do note that there is no TV entertainments)
🌟 I heard there is a sauna area for the men’s changing from my bf
something that I don’t really like (personal preference):
🚫 only squat toilets are available
🚫 no doors in the changing area for shower or changing (people roam around freely in the women’s changing room)

For entertainment, foot massage rooms have TVs, which you can enjoy while relaxing. Full body spa rooms do not have screens, so it’s perfect if you want quiet and peace. Overall, Enjoy Spa offers great value with high-quality service and a welcoming environment. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a regular spa lover, it’s definitely worth experiencing when in Shanghai.
