One of my acquaintances (the assumed name of Nong A) was almost a victim of a crook who tricked him into transferring money online! 😱 Nong A's story started with a strange SMS, claiming to be a "bank," saying that the account had a problem, had to press the link to correct it, or it would be suspended! Nong A pressed without thinking because he was afraid of missing money... 📲
Fortunately, Nong Er thought when the screen filled in the card information and OTP code, even though the bank normally never asked! Nong immediately consulted his brother. The brother checked to find that it was purely a "fake website"! If pressed further, the money definitely disappeared! 💸
