The fuselage is dotted black with orange dots scattered across the wings. The tentacles are yarn-like, longer than the fuselage. The 3-4th internodal tentacle area has one black tassel cluster each.
The side chest of the first internode has one sharp thorn each.
Habitat and behavior, often found islands along shrubs, or flying into the lights along buildings near forests, are found in montane forests, sheer forests, and orchards.
It is distributed in many countries, such as Thailand, Malaysia, Burma, Vietnam, Laos, India and Cambodia. It is herbivorous, such as pradipat pine, sea pine, manatee, sakana, Nontree, red tattooed, onion and smallpox.

ด้วงหนวดปมจุดเหลืองดำไม่เพียงแต่มีลักษณะภายนอกที่โดดเด่น แต่ยังมีบทบาทในระบบนิเวศที่ควรรู้จักด้วย ตัวด้วงกินพืชหลากหลายชนิด เช่น ต้นสนประดิพัทธ์ สนทะเล รวมทั้งต้นไม้ในสวนผลไม้ต่างๆ ซึ่งทำให้บรรดานักอนุรักษ์และเกษตรกรควรเข้าใจพฤติกรรมของแมลงชนิดนี้เพื่อการจัดการอย่างเหมาะสม ในธรรมชาติ ด้วงชนิดนี้มักพบเกาะตามพุ่มไม้ หรือบินเข้าหาแสงไฟในช่วงค่ำคืน ซึ่งเป็นเวลาที่เรามักพบเห็นแมลงกลุ่มนี้ได้ง่าย การรู้จักเวลาทำกิจกรรมของด้วงช่วยในการสังเกตและศึกษาเพิ่มเติมเกี่ยวกับวงจรชีวิตและบทบาทของแมลงในระบบนิเวศที่เป็นประโยชน์ต่อการดูแลป่าและสวนผลไม้ของเรา นอกจากนี้จากภาพที่เห็น ด้วงหนวดปมจุดเหลืองดำมีลายจุดสีส้มกระจายทั่วปีกบนพื้นลำตัวสีดำ และหนวดยาวมีพู่ขนสีดำในปล้องที่ 3-4 ลักษณะเด่นเหล่านี้ทำให้สามารถแยกแยะด้วงชนิดนี้จากด้วงอื่นๆ ได้ ซึ่งเหมาะสำหรับการศึกษาและการบันทึกข้อมูลทางวิทยาศาสตร์ในสวนหรือพื้นที่ป่าใกล้บ้าน ถ้าคุณเป็นผู้ที่ชอบศึกษาธรรมชาติหรือชื่นชอบแมลง ด้วงชนิดนี้เป็นหนึ่งในชนิดที่น่าสนใจสำหรับการสำรวจและเรียนรู้ เพราะนอกจากจะสวยงามแล้ว ยังสะท้อนความหลากหลายทางชีวภาพในพื้นที่ธรรมชาติของเราอีกด้วย
