Hammerhead, an orchid explored in the forest of Khao Luang National Park
The researchers' version of the story about the wild orchid by the National Park Innovation Research and Development Center in Surat Thani Province introduced it to another wild orchid, the hammerhead.

This orchid explored at Khao Luang National Park, Nakhon Si Thammarat, 300 to 800 meters above sea level, is a small orchid, short trunk, hanging down, resembling a flat cylinder.
Oval leaves to oval form with parallel edges, size 3x8 centimeters, sharp leaf tip, pendulous inflorescence, often with multiple panicles, two serrated ends, asymmetrical leaves.
The flowers form opposite panicles to the leaves. The inflorescences are shorter than the leaves. The flowering size is 8 millimeters in diameter. The calyx and petals are light brown-yellow, with red lines on the petals. Purple and white mouth petals. The upper calyx is curved into a boat-shaped basin. The oval-shaped double calyx is oblique. Parallel edge-shaped corolla, pointed tip, upright side serrated mouth petals, inward curved margin, inward curved middle serrated tip, pointed polyps, section, long chin, pointed tip.
It is found in southern Hainan and Yunnan provinces of China, Borneo, Vietnam, Peninsula, Malaysia and Sumatra. Thailand is found in arid rainforests and freshwater swamp forests with sunlight at 300-800 meters above sea level. The flowering period is between October and November.
