September 27 "World Tourism Day"
September 27 of each year is World Tourism Day, established in 1980 by the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). It aims to make everyone aware of the importance of tourism affecting economic, social, cultural and environmental values, leading to the formulation of international tourism development plan provisions and the creation of sustainable progress in the future.
Tourism is one of the main factors for stimulating the country's economy, especially with tourism in Thailand. There are many forms of tourism, such as historical tourism, ecotourism, educational tourism, etc. The World Tourism Day 2025 has set an annual theme (Theme) to reflect the key areas of tourism development, namely "Tourism and Sustainable Transformation" or "Tourism and Sustainable Change," to highlight the transformation potential of tourism as a driver of positive change.
Tourism is also an important sign to encourage people to pay attention to environmental conservation in the area of the forest and sea. The National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Species Department invites you to contribute to the conservation of natural resources and the environment, starting with strict compliance with regulations within the national park, dumping trash in places where trash is supported, and not storing natural materials outside the national park, so that natural resources remain in the right area and be with us all.
