Yellow Tiger from the Ban Sea National Park Conservation Forest
Researcher's version of the secret story...Knowing wild orchids. By the National Park Innovation Research and Development Center, Surat Thani Province, it is recommended to another wild orchid, the yellow tiger Gastrochilus obliquus (Lindl.) Kuntze.
This orchid explored at Ban Mon Stool Sea National Park, 800 to 1,400 meters above sea level, is a resident orchid, growing in warm to cold weather, 3 to 7 centimeters high, the trunk is a short stick, fresh green leaves, the edge shape is parallel, 4-6 centimeters wide, 15-20 centimeters long.
The flowers are bouquets, along the axils of the leaves, very short bouquet stalks, tightly arranged sub-flowers, yellow or dotted petals and petals, white bill petals, spread and hairy petals, finely streaked serrated edges, cavities, yellow-tinged middle petals and purple-red dashes, full bloom 2 centimeters wide.
It is found in the eastern Himalayas, Bhutan, Sikkim, Myanmar, southern China, northern Laos, and Vietnam. Thailand is found throughout the country. According to the Raw Khao forest, the flowering period is between October and January.

หลายคนเสิร์ชคำว่า “เอื้องเสือดาว” แล้วอาจเจอข้อมูลปนกัน เพราะชื่อไทยของกล้วยไม้ป่ามักมีชื่อเรียกท้องถิ่น/ชื่อสามัญหลายแบบ บางพื้นที่เรียกตามสีหรือแพตเทิร์นของดอก ทำให้จำสลับกับชนิดอื่นได้ง่ายค่ะ สำหรับโพสต์นี้ “เสือเหลือง” ที่พบในผืนป่าอนุรักษ์อุทยานแห่งชาติทะเลบัน จ.สตูล มีชื่อวิทยาศาสตร์ว่า Gastrochilus obliquus (Lindl.) Kuntze ซึ่งเป็นกล้วยไม้อิงอาศัย (เกาะตามต้นไม้ ไม่ได้ดูดอาหารจากต้นไม้เหมือนกาฝาก) ถ้ากำลังสงสัยว่าเอื้องเสือดาวที่คุณเห็น “ใช่ตัวเดียวกับเสือเหลืองไหม” ลองเช็กจากจุดสังเกตต่อไปนี้แบบง่ายๆ 1) สีและรูปทรงของดอก: ดอกมักเป็นสีเหลือง และมี “กลีบปากสีขาว” ที่เห็นแต้มสีเหลืองและประสีแดงอมม่วง ปลายกลีบปากแผ่และมีขนเล็กๆ ขอบหยักละเอียด พอดูใกล้ๆ จะเด่นมาก (ในภาพจะเห็นเป็นช่อดอกแน่นๆ ตามซอกใบ) 2) การออกดอกเป็นช่อ: ก้านช่อสั้นมาก ดอกย่อยเรียงแน่น ทำให้ดูเป็นกระจุกสวย เวลาเจอเกาะอยู่บนลำต้นที่มีใบเขียวสดจะสังเกตได้ค่อนข้างชัด 3) ขนาดต้นและใบ: ต้นค่อนข้างเล็ก สูงประมาณ 3–7 ซม. ใบเขียวสดรูปขอบขนาน กว้างราว 4–6 ซม. ยาวประมาณ 15–20 ซม. ถ้าเจอต้นเล็กแต่ใบยาวเรียว แล้วมีช่อดอกเหลืองๆ ออกตามซอกใบ โอกาสใช่ค่อนข้างสูง 4) ถิ่นอาศัยและฤดูกาล: ที่ทะเลบันพบในระดับความสูงประมาณ 800–1,400 เมตร ชอบอากาศอบอุ่นถึงเย็น และช่วงออกดอกมักอยู่ราวเดือนตุลาคม–มกราคม ใครไปเดินป่าช่วงปลายฝนต้นหนาวถึงหน้าหนาวมีลุ้นเจอง่ายกว่า ข้อแนะนำเวลาไปดู “เอื้องเสือดาว/เสือเหลือง” ในธรรมชาติ: ขอให้ดูแบบไม่รบกวนต้นนะคะ ไม่เด็ด ไม่ขุด ไม่ย้ายที่เกาะ และหลีกเลี่ยงการจับดอกแรงๆ เพราะกลีบช้ำง่ายมาก ถ้าอยากถ่ายให้เห็นรายละเอียดแต้มสีบนกลีบปาก ลองใช้โหมดมาโคร/ซูม และถ่ายย้อนแสงน้อยๆ จะเห็นสีเหลืองกับแต้มแดงอมม่วงชัดขึ้นค่ะ
