On November 4, 2025, Surin Islands National Park, Phang Nga Province, leads a Diving Operations Series staff to conduct a survey of the coral reef status of Surin Islands National Park, Suthep Bay area, using the Line Intercept Transect (LIT) method of coral reef exploration to conduct coral status surveys, explore reef fish, and explore reef invertebrates.
According to a preliminary survey, the status of the Suthep Bay reefs is very good, with most of the corals found having antler corals, the predominant corals of the area, and there are also crumpled corals, cauliflower corals, small channel corals, beehive corals, big star corals and floral corals.
In the area of fish exploration found in coral reefs, there are groups of the rock sapphire genus Chromis spp., the genus Neopomacentrus spp., and the genus Pomacentrus spp. It is the predominant type of fish of the area, followed by the group of rock-chevron sapphire, genus Abudefduf spp. Sea sapphire, genus Siganus spp. Fishing sapphire, genus Acanthurus spp., etc.
In the invertebrates, in the survey, no vertebrates, feathered stars, brittle stars, coral fans and cockles were found in the Suthep Bay area.
