Shine "Star Cat," the little hunter of the Salvin Forest.
A clip of a nocturnal star cat recorded on a wildlife camera in Salawin National Park, Mother Emperor Province, reflects the abundance of the forest and the quality patrol performance of the forest rangers.
The star cat (Leopard Cat), scientific name, has several dark brown or black spots scattered along the sides of the trunk.
There are four or five dark brown bands on the back, and the feathers on the belly are white, the males are larger than the females, they feed alone at night and sleep during the day, hunting small animals for food.
The star cat, classified as a Least Concern, LC, is a species listed in Animal Account No. 2 of the International Wildlife Trade Convention (CITES) as a protected wildlife, No. 146, according to the Wildlife Reserves and Protection Act 2019.
