🌷"Parrot Candle Flower" Nature Study Trail Doi Luang Chiang Dao ✨

The Doi Luang Chiang Dao Nature Study Trail is not only a hiking trail full of the beauty of his forest, but also the home of Parrot Candle Blossom, one of Thailand's most rare endemic flowers. This flower grows in an environment that relies on the humidity, cold air, and shade of high mountain forests, all of which are conditions found on Doi Luang Chiang Dao.

A parrot candle () or parrot flower (Parrot Flower) is a tree with the shape of a beautiful flower like a parrot. The flower size is 2-3 cm, with purple-red-white or dark-pink-red-and-white flowers. It is found under the shade of a large tree in a montane forest or limestone area, which is from 1,500 to 1,800 meters above sea level. The parrot candle flower blooms from October to December, and is found only in one place, Doi Luang Chiang Dao.

The Doi Luang Chiang Dao Nature Study Trail is designed to allow visitors to view this kind of flower up close without disturbing the ecosystem. Nature students have thus learned along with hiking. That the beauty of the high mountain forest is not spontaneous, but relies on the joint care and respect of this conservation area. Avoid touching or decking flowers, do not litter, and do not disturb wildlife.

Every blooming parrot candle is therefore not only a splendor, but also a symbol of the integrity of nature worth preserving for later generations. 🌱✨

ดอกเทียนนกแก้ว หรือ Impatiens psittacina เป็นพืชเฉพาะถิ่นที่ได้รับความสนใจจากนักธรรมชาติวิทยาและนักท่องเที่ยวไม่แพ้ดอกไม้ชนิดอื่นๆ เพราะมีรูปลักษณ์ที่คล้ายคลึงกับนกแก้วสีสันสวยงาม มีขนาดดอกประมาณ 2-3 เซนติเมตรที่สะดุดตา ซึ่งเติบโตใต้ร่มเงาไม้ในป่าดิบเขาที่อุดมสมบูรณ์บนพื้นที่สูงของดอยหลวงเชียงดาว ทั้งนี้ ดอกเทียนนกแก้วต้องการสภาพแวดล้อมที่มีความชื้นสูง อากาศเย็นสบาย และพื้นที่ร่มเงาเพื่อดำรงชีวิตได้อย่างสมบูรณ์โดยเฉพาะในช่วงความสูงระดับ 1,500 – 1,800 เมตรจากระดับน้ำทะเล ช่วงเวลาที่เหมาะที่สุดในการชมดอกเทียนนกแก้วบานสะพรั่งคือเดือนตุลาคมถึงธันวาคม ซึ่งเป็นช่วงที่นักท่องเที่ยวจำนวนมากเดินทางมาสัมผัสกับความงามและเรียนรู้ระบบนิเวศบนดอยหลวงเชียงดาวอย่างใกล้ชิด โดยเส้นทางศึกษาธรรมชาตินี้ออกแบบมาอย่างใส่ใจเพื่อไม่ให้กระทบต่อระบบนิเวศและประชากรสัตว์ป่าที่อาศัยอยู่ประจำพื้นที่ การรักษาความสมบูรณ์ของธรรมชาติเป็นหัวใจสำคัญของการอนุรักษ์ดอกเทียนนกแก้ว ซึ่งหากขาดการดูแลหรือมีการสัมผัสดอกไม้และรบกวนสัตว์ป่าอย่างไม่ระมัดระวัง อาจส่งผลกระทบต่อระบบนิเวศโดยรวมและลดจำนวนพันธุ์ไม้เฉพาะถิ่นนี้ลงได้ นักเดินป่าจึงควรปฏิบัติตามข้อแนะนำอย่างเคร่งครัด ได้แก่ งดเด็ดดอกไม้ หลีกเลี่ยงการทำเสียงดัง ทิ้งขยะในที่จัดไว้ และเคารพพื้นที่ธรรมชาติเพื่อให้ดอกเทียนนกแก้วและสัตว์ป่าต่างๆ สามารถอยู่ร่วมกันได้อย่างยั่งยืน นอกจากนี้ ดอกเทียนนกแก้วยังเป็นเครื่องเตือนใจถึงความงดงามและความเปราะบางของธรรมชาติบนดอยหลวงเชียงดาว ที่ต้องการการอนุรักษ์อย่างจริงจังและความร่วมมือจากทุกฝ่าย เพื่อให้คนรุ่นใหม่และรุ่นต่อๆ ไปได้มีโอกาสสัมผัสกับความสวยงามเหล่านี้ในอนาคต สำหรับผู้ที่ชื่นชอบการท่องเที่ยวเชิงธรรมชาติ ดอยหลวงเชียงดาวและดอกเทียนนกแก้วถือเป็นจุดหมายที่ไม่ควรพลาดที่จะเยี่ยมชมด้วยตนเอง สัมผัสประสบการณ์เดินป่าในอากาศบริสุทธิ์พร้อมเรียนรู้ระบบนิเวศและพืชพันธุ์ที่หายากของไทย เส้นทางศึกษาธรรมชาติแห่งนี้ยังสนับสนุนให้คนรักษาสิ่งแวดล้อมไว้ด้วยใจอย่างแท้จริง
