ðļ oranges in the middle of the prong..."Fishy Po Blossom," the charm of the deciduous season.
As the cold wind passes, the colors of the rainforest begin! The 3rd Conservation Bureau, Phetchaburi Branch, brings to life the beauty of the blooming "fishy blossoms," turning the forest into a bright color with a beautiful blue sky. ð§Ąð
ð Get to know the "fishy," a fishy tree found in rainforests, chrysanthemums, and botanical gardens all over the country. The flowering period is from January to March.
It is a unique medium to large-sized perennial with a smooth bark of silver or gray-white (it is the origin of the name white por / cowpor), straight stems, wide sprawling, single, finger-shaped leaves, split into 5-7 lobes, resembling maple leaves, with a soft coat.
The flowers are bouquets at the ends of the branches; the petals are joined together in a bell-shaped, orange or bright color; the fruit is a boat-shaped or kidney-shaped sheath; when old, it is dark red and broken off; inside, there are black seeds.
By throwing away all the leaves to raise a bright orange inflorescence full of branches against the blue sky, a rare sign of the abundance of the Thai forest. "The fishy flower" is not only beautiful! It is also a source of food for birds and insects during the dry season.
