Submersible diploma

The Similan Islands National Park holds ceremonies, awards underwater diplomas, raises safety standards and builds tourist confidence.

Similan Islands National Park, Phang Nga Province, organized a Sea Visitor Capacity Enhancement Training Program during February 15-19, 2026 to develop staff skills to systematically perform rescue rescue recovery duties at the Similan Islands National Park, with the main objective of establishing advanced safety standards and reassuring tourists visiting Thailand's vital marine heritage.

For this training session, officers underwent intensive physical and mental fitness testing, with training content heavily focused on universally accurate water life support skills, first aid, CPR and the use of Automatic Electric Heart Jerks (AEDs), as well as various forms of weather, wind waves and tide risk assessment and response training to enable officers to effectively perform under pressure and work seamlessly as a team.

The program also organized a ceremony to award underwater certificates to trained officers, organized among the beauty of undersea resources in the National Park, as a token of success and pride in the safety stewardship mission. The ceremony not only recognized the competence of the personnel, but also reflected the National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Species Department's commitment to enhancing professional tourist care.
